  • Types / Models of Cloud Services: Most cloud computing services fall into three broad categories: • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): IaaS is the most basic category of cloud computing services. It provides customer ability to deploy and run arbitrary software or IT infrastructure including servers and virtual machines (VMs), storage, networks, operating systems from a cloud provider on a pay-as-you-go basis. • Platform as a Service (PaaS): PaaS is a complete environment for development, testing, delivering and managing of software applications, with resources like tools, programming languages and libraries provided by third party supplier. A PaaS provider hosts the hardware and software on its own infrastructure. As a result, PaaS liberates developers from having to install in-house hardware and software to run a new application and enables to deliver everything from simple cloud-based apps to sophisticated, cloud-enabled enterprise applications. • Software as a Service (SaaS): SaaS provides capability to use the provider’s applications running on cloud infrastructure over the internet typically on a subscription basis. Instead of installing and maintaining software, cloud provider hosts applications and makes them available to users to connect to and use cloud-based apps over the internet. The applications are accessible from various client devices usually through a web browser. Common examples are email, calendaring, and office tools (such as Microsoft Office 365).
  • Firewall Monitors and controls network traffic to block unauthorized access. Example: Preventing suspicious connections to your system. Encryption Transforms data into a secure format that cannot be easily read. Example: Protecting confidential information during transmission. Antivirus Identifies and removes harmful programs. Example: Regular scans to detect malware. Backup Systems Creates copies of important data for recovery. Example: Restoring files after data loss. Access Control Restricts data access to authorized users only. Example: Only authorized users allowed.
